🍅Killer progress last month!
It is an understatement to say that the last few weeks in have been volatile, stressful and unpredictable for most of us.
As we all hunker down to sail through this storm, the Salad team has been working hard to achieve our goals.
In October, we released the world’s most comprehensive Axie Infinity training course, grown our community, launched our official podcast channel, and started putting plans together for 2023. We’re excited to share the progress that we have made in October below.
Apollo Academy is Launching an Axie Infinity Meta Course
Since our recent partnership with Limitless Guild Mobius (LLGMobius) came to fruition, the Apollo Academy team has been working closely with them to produce the first Axie Origins course on our platform: Axie Origins Meta Course.
Featuring our Co-Founder and Chief Gaming Officer, Wesley Mathews as well as LLGMobius’ streamers, this course is jam-packed with tons of value and gameplay secrets. Apollonauts can expect in-depth introductions of their Poison, Curse, Rage and Dawn Sustain teams; including details about the ideal team composition, runes and charms, position and formation. Those who want to see these tactics in action can also check out gameplay videos in the course that’ll be released soon.
The GuildOS Insider Chapter 1: The Rise & Challenges of eSports
While the engineering team continues to build GuildOS, our product team has been monitoring existing trends, as well as both existing and potential problems that could be resolved with feature development.
For our first set of insights, GuildOS Insider takes a closer look at the billion dollar competitive gaming industry, covering the issues and possible solutions specifically for talent scouting, as well as players looking for opportunities to enter the scene.
From the rise of eSports, to ecosystems and also the challenges surrounding player opportunities and recruitment.
Based on the insights the GuildOS team have gathered, here are some key takeaways that we could potentially be expanding into and building next:
A centralised platform within the eSports ecosystem to handle players and team needs
A possible decentralised method for fans and organisations to connect
A way to analyse team dynamics and statistics to enhance team performances
With the above in mind, the team at GuildOS will be heading back to the drawing board to propose new and improved solutions that would tackle the many pain points that players experience within the eSports industry.
The ABC Podcast: Get Alpha On-the-Go
At Apollo Academy, we seek to cater to different types of learners by offering a variety of platforms for them to explore Web3 in their own time and space. For learners who’re constantly on-the-go or enjoy multitasking, we created The Apollo Blockchain & Crypto Podcast, or The ABC Podcast for short.
Every week, Wesley takes the stage with one of our partners to dive deeper into their projects and get real-time updates on their progress and upcoming plans. Web3 enthusiasts who’re interested in finding out more about these projects or want to get their hands on the latest alpha can tune in to the live AMA. Those who can’t tune in during the live session can look forward to the uploaded podcast on Spotify a few days later.
Community Overview
Since 2021, our team has focused on building a diverse community across various channels like Discord, Telegram, Twitter, email and more. Our community has experienced a sustainable annualised growth of over 396%.
This is not an easy feat, considering that most of this growth came during the bear market in 2021. We believe that by sharing more of what we are doing at Salad, more like-minded people will join our tribe and mission. We continue to do this through our fortnightly Salad Tuesdays events in Singapore, through Twitter Spaces, Discord AMAs and other channels.
What’s Next?
We are not oblivious to the heightened risk environment that we are in, but it does not change our mission at Salad. Members of our team are aligned in being focused on our products and community, and are consistently reminded to not let the charts distract us from achieving our goal.
We’re thankful that we have been extremely conservative with our funds, and have avoided the recent contagion unscathed.
The world is burning but not all is lost. If you know someone who's recently been undeservedly retrenched, please send them our way. We have open positions that we need to fill. More details can be found on our careers page.
